People have different hobbies, it depends on what they like to do. Some like to go fishing, play ball or collect stuff. My father-in-law is a collector of Star Wars characters, or Marvel Superheroes drawings. My mother-in-law is a also a collector, she collects Betty Boop miniature characters. You should see her cabinet, full of her collected Betty Boop memorabilia from way back then. I believe that my father- in- law also buy gold online from Golden Eagle because when we were visiting them in 2005, he showed us a box of his gold coins collection. He said that it’s a great investment, that hopefully he can leave those coins to either their kids or grandchildren. I told my husband, maybe if we have the means, we should also buy some and treat it as an investment for our retirement..

Although my open kitchen plan went to the waste basket, my “kid’s room repainting” is still on. I will need some stuff next week. When the temperature drops down a bit, I will repaint their rooms. Hopefully this time, it will stay clean. They’re getting older and I am keeping my fingers crossed on this. I want them to have a nice room, although I am not into those Princess room, or sports theme room, I want something simple, but clean and tidy.

There are times that I don’t know what to do with the kids’ rooms, but I am not a good room designer. And besides, we don’t want to buy something expensive that will end up being stained or broken. Hmmmm… Oh well… We will see…

My 4- year old daughter is pretty smart, she can look at pictures and she can tell what people are doing. For someone like me who is no longer young and has a tendency to have a high blood pressure attack, this recipe is perfect for you all. Chop Suey is all veggies, unless you want to add a little bit of chicken, pork or shrimp to it. And because I cannot eat pork without having my blood pressure going up, I used shrimp. this recipe is easy, as if you are cooking stir fry.

You can put any veggies that you like, and voila, you have Chop Suey. Eat it with white rice, or you can also eat it by itself. Your choice. I am on a diet so I am trying to lessen my rice intake I am glad that I am determined to lose at least 15 more lbs, I don’t eat rice very often now..I am so proud of myself. So, for people who love vegetables, try to make chop suey for your dinner tonight. You will love it..

Allergy Treatment

I have bad allergies and I take allergy shots every week for almost a year now. It helps but there are times that I still need to take some medicine for my sinus allergy especially during weird weather. I am allergic to dust, molds, cat, dairy, grass, weeds and so on and so forth. I am glad that I am not allergic to people and money. When I was doing research about allergies, there is a wellness clinic that might help me, and its the airborne allergy treatment Austin branch. Although I am already having my weekly shots, I still can get a second opinion, can’t I? Getting some information is not bad at all. I might learn something else that can help me get better..

My sister in law had a baby almost 2 months ago, and when we gave her a baby shower, she received so much baby gifts, including couple of baby strollers I guess, she didn’t register at baby registry, that’s people didn’t know what to get her, and the ones they did, it got doubled. She’s so glad that people care for her and her baby to give her such presents. Olivia is their first born, I have seen her room and I felt embarrassed when I gave her some used baby clothes while her closet is full of clothes and she has another rack full of baby stuff that she might not be able to use. Oh well, first child is always spoiled by parents and grandparents..I should know, I have 4 children..

We Need New Comfortable Mattress

It was just the other day when my husband said that we are due for a new mattress. We had bought our bedroom set in 2008, so basically our mattress is only over 3 years old. It used to be really firm, but lately, aside from it’s getting squeaky, it doesn’t feel comfortable any longer. Don’t we need to have a great sleep so we have a good morning the next day? What if your mattress is the same as ours that whenever you move, it makes sound? You will end up being awake all night, toss and turn, and with very little sleep, you wake up grumpy and will become unproductive at work.

We talked about going out this weekend to look for some mattresses and he said, this time, we need to get something that will last a long time. Something that will give us comfort when we sleep. We even talked about buying a memory foam mattress, wohooo! my husband is dreaming while awake. Well, come to think of it, no more back pains for him since memory foam mattress follows the contour of your body while you lay down. Meaning, you will feel like being lulled to sleep without feeling anything poking your ribs, or anything firm enough to make your body ache.

I had seen this coffee machine at my friends’ houses and it was only last Wednesday when I asked one of them about it. She explained that it’s a single cup serve one touch coffee maker. She made me a hot choco and it was the neatest thing I have even seen. When I got home that night, I looked online so I can get me one. I found it and on the spot ordered it. I can’t wait. I thought I was going to give it to my hubby for our anniversary in April, but since I can’t wait, it will be my Valentine’s gift for him. Although I bought it for my own purpose, I will say that I got it especially for him. Hmmm…

I have some friends who complain that everytime they come visit me, they pass my house all the time. Why? Aside from our driveway is hidden, our mail box is too far away from our driveway and before they can find my house, they already passed it. Oppss….sorry, we had been meaning to move our mailbox close to our driveway but my husband is afraid that I will hit it when I get out or get in our driveway. He trusts my driving skills that much. I believe that what we need is an address plaque or address signs.

My friends will be surprised next time they visit, they are definitely going to love me more for this. They said that missing my driveway makes them feel kind of dumb. We Need New Living Room Set

We are so due for a new living room set. I can already tell that our Microfiber living room set that we bought in 2007 is wanting to say bye. It’s been with us for more than 4 years and because we bought a cheap one, it’s starting to fall off. The color is still good, and you can’t see stains, since it’s microfiber, stains and dirt just bounce of off it. Cushions are starting to sag and when you sit on it, you will feel the wood on your behind. Kids had jumped off it and I had been sleeping on it during the nights that I can’t sleep. In short, I want a new living room set.

We are planning on doing our kitchen this year, opening our kitchen to the dining room and hopefully to the living room, like an open floor plan, but, we are still adamant and hesitating. My husband said that when I make the plans, and he started doing it, it can never be undone. So, until now, I am having second thought if I want to open the kitchen to the living room. Taking the walls off between the kitchen and the dining is already decided. But, I am still waiting for my mind to visualize what it would look like, if we also take the walls off between the kitchen and the living room. It’s like one big square if you come from our front door.

I still cannot decide. I am glad, since we still don’t have money, so I have more months to think about it. Right now, I feel like my kitchen is not wide enough. I love my kitchen in TN, where, there is no wall between the kitchen and the dining room. I can see everything and it’s brighter. If there is no wall, it seems big. That’s what I want here. But, let’s see.

Anyways, I hope that I can get a new living room this year. I can’t wait..
