My Little Christmas Decoration
My husband said that we don’t need to put up our Christmas tree since we are going to Illinois to celebrate Christmas with my aunt’s family and my mom. At first I was fine with it. But then, I feel so lonely and when I hear Christmas songs on the radio, I feel sad that our house doesn’t have any Christmas spirit. So I told him, I don’t care if we are not going to be here on Christmas, I want to have the tree up. So, there it is. This year, I wanted Silver and red for my ornaments, last year, I had gold.
Have a Wonderful Holidays to all!!
Candle Warmers, Perfect Gift
My friend is getting married this week and I don’t know what to give her. Well, I bought something but not sure if this would be alright. She said, I don’t have to bother, but well, I can’t go empty handed, where is my pride? Do you think, candle holders would be enough? Her fiancee already had everything that they need in the kitchen, so I don’t want to buy something that they already have. You can never go wrong with candles and such. As long as it looks nice and elegant I guess.
I love this candle warmer, I own 2 and they are making my house smells so good. I love the Butterscotch scent. Yum…My kids said, it smells like candy in our house.
My other friend is having a housewarming this weekend and I guess, I can give her candle warmer as well..
Aren’t they all gorgeous, aside from they will make your homes smell so glorious, they also add elegance wherever you place them. I so love it, I will definitely get me more and the good thing is, unlike those plug ins, you only need to turn this on when you need your homes to smell good. What are you waiting for? Almost every store has them. Walmart, Carson Pirie Scott, Target, Belk, Sears, JC Penney and more…
Happy Thanksgiving To All!
The day after tomorrow will be the Thanksgiving day and people are so busy going to the grocery stores to buy their holiday dinner. We are going to my in laws, since that’s what we do every year. We eat lunch at their house and we do whatever for dinner. I will have some friends coming over from Tennessee and they will sleep over here, so we can do our Black Friday shopping. I already bought me a turkey, ham, 2 hams actually, I will bring the other at the in laws. I might bring some egg rolls, since I know that some of my in laws will eat it, and if I don’t get lazy I will make some pancit. I bought 14 lbs. of turkey, I wonder who’s going to eat that big bird, 7 lbs. ham and some veggies. Cooking American food is not my thing, I asked hubby to buy me some Filipino veggies so I can make Pakbet for me, Grace and Lhiza.
Do you think my turkey will look like this after I take it out of the oven?

Green Bean casserole is my favorite, but I just don’t know how to make them. My sister in law will bring green beans, I am not sure if it’s a casserole or just the plain green beans, either way I eat it.

My son is requesting deviled eggs, that maybe I will make, if he does what I asked him to do. “Clean his room”
Well, I would like to wish everyone here in the United States to have a safe and happy Thanksgiving. Be safe on Black Friday, don’t spend too much
Yum! this is what I am talking about. I cook ham, but it doesn’t come out looking like this. What’s their secret? I need to find out.
Family Day Out
It was last Sunday when hubby took us to the car dealership since we were planning to get a van. The kids cannot fit at the back of my little Suzuki. We went to Carmax and had difficulty finding something that hubby can drive. I found one that I like, but since he stands 6’2″ there is no way that he can drive it. We looked at numerous vehicles, but we ended up with the one that he initially liked. It’s 2008 Jeep Commander, 7 passenger, with DVD, built in GPS and other features that made the vehicle worth a fortune (worth a fortune for people who don’t normally make a lot of money)
But, anyways, after 3 or 4 hours of waiting for the process to get done, hubby took us out to eat at Asian Grill Buffet. The kids had fun cracking crab legs (except the youngest) I enjoyed their Miso soup with clams and all the seafood that I can eat. When I go there, I only eat shrimp, crab legs, and salmon. those are expensive when you buy them raw. So, I take advantage of the buffet. We had a blast and told my husband, we need to do it more often. Dan had to work so he wasn’t with us.
I wonder where are we going to eat out again. We spent $50 on this dinner, so maybe once a month would be nice. It’s nice to go out with the kids. It might be a little high, but, isn’t that why parents work? To have fun with their kids? We will do it again for sure.
Have fun guys and have a great Veteran’s Day to all!
For Better and Brighter Lighting
We have three full baths in our house, and when it the bathroom, you require bright lights too. I cannot stand dim lights while I am anywhere in the house. Kichler Bath Lighting was the answer to our prayers when we were looking for bathroom lights. Our residence is located at an elevated neighborhood that when you are about to enter the area, you wouldn’t think that there are houses in it. It’s also a dead end and only residents enter it. It’s dark during the night and spooky enough that no kids go there during Halloween. Great lighting is essential to make sure that you can at least see some burglars when they are ready to attack. We have a Kichler outdoor lighting installed outside our garage that lights up that whole side of the house. So, we feel safe when one of us come home early, especially my son who works at McDonald’s and sometimes come home at 2AM.
