I don’t drink alcohol but occasionally, I do and I only do it when it’s my birthday, or New Year’s eve, and of course, our wedding anniversary. My husband and I are so excited about our new country home. We’ve worked so hard, and saved for so many years so that we could one day move out there. We love the town, and are so excited to leave behind city life and retire. We’re getting older now and just want to slow things down and simplify. We are nervous about all of the changes that are going to happen, but we are also looking forward to it. We figure we’ll probably be bored at first, but once we get used to it, it’ll be great. I can’t wait to hike with my husband and explore all of the beautiful trails. We’ve been trying hard to get the décor just right. We want it to have a homey feel, but not be too old looking. We plan on having our children and grandchildren come to visit often, and we want everyone to be comfortable. We also got our satellite internet service from Hughesnet and that should be up and running by the time they come out to see us.

We had friends came over last weekend and we had dinner and afterwards, we did some singing. It was fun, and we had a blast. It could have been better if we had behringer microphones for a better sound. We only had a single microphone and everybody wants to sing along to whoever has the microphone. We did some random picking of songs and it sucked. We are planning to do another Karaoke night pretty soon. Getting together with friends is great especially if singing is concerned. Just like what my husband said, he never heard so much dogs barking outside until that night, the nerve!
